A piece of theatre that does not aim at inciting feelings of pity or sympathy, it merely wants to show the infinite possibilities of the limitedness and freedom of the human body and nature. Physically handicapped and intact people join hands in this performance for the experience of artistic discovery and research in an attempt to learn from one another while also re-examining their views of and prejudices about one another.
“Soul Dance, an emotional protest-dance of the society, is an individual artistic performance and a collage of scenes portraying everyday healing work. Its meaning is straightforward, plain and comprehensible, jarring and awe inspiring, and also not lacking soft provocation.” (Tamás Halász, Revizoronline)
“The performance is a milestone for the physical and mental unfolding of the participants, and also has a great importance in the reforming of the social view on the handicapped, and the cultural prejudice excluding the ill.” (Katalin Ránky)
