Eli is a 32 year old, deeply disturbed and solitary man who has trouble creating relationships with women. Hagar is a surrogate, a substitute partner for practical sexual therapy. They meet once a week and practice relationship and intimacy in laboratory conditions. The changes Eli undergoes and the secrets exposed do not only shake his entire world; they shake those of his family as well. Shalom Ezer’s skilful direction and multi-layered writing keep us guessing about where the relationship is going.

Hebron, the night of the Jewish settlement Masquerade. 15-year-old Samer escorts his older sister Ayat to collect her diploma from the Palestinian university. Threading their way between rooftops and side narrow allies, they must avoid the settlers, the army and the curious foreign news reporters.
