Anahita, a 24-year-old girl from Tehran’s high society, is sent to Paris by her parents to protect her from the political violence in Iran. Transferred from one reality to another, Miss Dalloway meets and falls in love with Gecko, who works as a bellhop in the luxury hotel where she arrives. They start an affair as passionate as spontaneous. But the bloodshed resurfaces through the Internet: Miss Dalloway is using Twitter and YouTube to stay up-to-date with the events, and to see the amateur videos of the demonstrations uploaded daily by the Iranians. Gecko is apolitical and knows nothing about Iran. Regardless, the bond between the two of them deepens. Fleurs du mal is a 21st century love story steeped in Internet and tangled up in history.
