Dirk Rijneke and Mildred van Leeuwaarden, the producers of the Dutch film Silent Ones, visited Hungary for the festival screenings, and came to an agreement with the PARLUX Entertainment film distribution company. Silent Ones, screened at the 20th Titanic Filmfestival’s competitive section starring Orsi Tóth and Roland Rába will probably hit Hungarian cinemas this summer.
20th Titanic International Filmfest screened Silent Ones with big success. Even though the director, Ricky Rijneke is Dutch, it was made with Hungarian stars Orsi Tóth (Delta, Johanna, A nagy füzet) and Roland Rába (Köntörfalak, Ópium - Egy elmebeteg nő naplója, Isteni műszak).
Silent Ones
The movie tells the story of Csilla, a Hungarian girl, who wakes up in a shattered car, somewhere in the countryside. She meets a strange guy, Gábor who manages to convince her to join him on his trip to Western-Europe in a van. Ricky Rijneke’s first film is a hallucinogenic trip between two worlds and deals with the close connection between life and death.
